Inner Child Healing

In the first 7 years of our life, our programs, beliefs and perceptions are formed. We determine who we are in this world, what the world means, how we fit in, and what is or is not safe. And in those first 7 years we are so reliant on our guardians and the world around us to guide us through this process into becoming our own being. In that time, we don’t necessarily have the resources to know who we are outside of our circumstance. We can’t control others, and things can happen around us that lead us to believe we are not good enough, or that we don’t have value, or we are too loud or too quiet, we are not lovable, we only get positive attention when we are sick, we are not kind enough, or we are too much. These impressions stay with us as we grow older and become more independent. These impressions continue to shape how we perceive the world and how we show up in this world.

You may find yourself not feeling good enough in your job, or not worthy of love or a loving relationship. It may mean you don’t share your voice because you are too afraid of being shut down, or you hide your passions and gifts in fear of judgment or rejection. You may feel paralyzed in your decision-making in case you get it wrong. You may find yourself with chronic health conditions or jumping from symptom to symptom. It can hold you back from expressing yourself and your emotions because you are afraid to be seen in your vulnerability. You may feel like you just can’t fully be yourself. Like you are always hiding or protecting a part of yourself – because in some ways you are. You are subconsciously replaying the behaviour that once served you and protected your inner child. But now it is time to grow out of your protective cocoon and emerge into the radiant being you are.

This is why I have created the Inner Child Healing: A meditative reiki session to guide you back to a time when you were young and allow you to rewrite the narrative of the past so you can move forward in the present and heal. You may have certain memories that have stuck with you over the years and sometimes those memories you hold may not be accurate in terms of the actual events that unfolded, but rather are more an expression of how you internalised the experience. What this means is that you can tap into that energy of the past and change how you remember what has happened and what that made you believe about yourself. In this session I guide you into yourself to be with your inner child so you can acknowledge them in the way they needed, so that your current day self can finally grow through its protective shell and feel liberated from the past.
